BAD NEWS BREAKING

The news came through this morning,
News that caused me pain.
There was talk about invasion
And fighting in Ukraine.
Russian tanks were rolling,
And trucks of infantry,
As I heard the bad news breaking,
A sad song came to me.

Here we go again, my lads,
Though we thought it was no more.
The bugles blow, the drumbeats sound,
And men march off to war
.

The sirens rang a warning
"Prepare yourselves for Hell!".
Children cried in anguish
With every bomb that fell.
Putin' men came swarming
Across the peaceful land.
The country's men and women
Took arms to make a stand.

Here we go again, my lads,
Though we thought it was no more.
The bugles blow, the drumbeats sound,
And men march off to war.

And we must stand beside them,
These people far away.
It could be us tomorrow
But they're facing war today.
One man's ego caused this war
Whatever may be said.
So let's hold him responsible
For the wounded and the dead.

Here we go again, my lads,
Though we thought it was no more.
The bugles blow, the drumbeats sound,
And men march off to war.
